Guest Liability The primary guest on the reservation is accountable for any damage to the property, including furniture, fixtures, and missing room items. Any necessary repair, specialized cleaning, or replacement costs will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking.

Agency Liability Travel agencies are held responsible for any damage or loss resulting from their clients' stay. The costs for repairs, professional cleaning, or replacement of items will be invoiced directly to the agency.

Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited inside all guest rooms and indoor public areas. Under Icelandic law, any violation of this policy is subject to a €500 fine. This fee covers the cost of deep cleaning and the loss of revenue while the room is out of service.

Agency Bookings Travel agencies are responsible for ensuring their clients adhere to these regulations. Should a violation occur, the €500 fee will be billed directly to the agency to cover cleaning and room downtime.

Guests are accountable for any room damage or missing property identified following departure. Charges will be calculated based on the current market cost for repairs or item replacement.

Agency Accountability In cases where guests are booked via a travel agency, the agency assumes financial responsibility for any damages or missing items. Billed amounts will cover the total cost required to restore the room to its original state.

Noise & Conduct: To ensure a restful environment for all guests, parties and loud gatherings are strictly prohibited in guest rooms and corridors. We kindly ask that you maintain silence during our designated quiet hours from 23:00 to 07:00. Please be advised that guests who disrupt others may be asked to leave the premises immediately without a refund.

Laundry Services: Please note that there are no self-service or on-site laundry facilities for guest use.

Children & Pets: We welcome guests of all ages at our properties, making them suitable for families. Please note that pets are generally not permitted; exceptions to this rule are only made at specific locations where explicitly stated in the booking details.

Breakfast: Breakfast is complimentary at all locations (except Klettasel Villa) from 07:00–09:00. Please note that we do not offer a to-go service. Parking Policy

  • Cost: Complimentary parking is provided for all guests.
  • Liability: Troll Hotels is not responsible for any theft, damage, or loss involving vehicles. Guests are advised to lock their cars and keep all valuables with them.
  • Winter Weather: Please note that snow removal in the parking areas may be delayed during heavy snowfall. We strongly recommend ensuring your rental vehicle has comprehensive insurance coverage.

Individual Bookings (4 Rooms or Less) Cancellations made within 7 days of the arrival date, as well as no-shows, are subject to a 100% cancellation fee. All requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@troll.is; please note that cancellations made over the phone cannot be accepted. A cancellation is only considered official once you receive a written confirmation from Troll Hotels.

Group Bookings (5 Rooms or More) Groups are eligible for a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 4 weeks before arrival. Any cancellations made within the 4-week window before check-in will incur a 100% fee. This policy also applies to partial cancellations or reductions in the number of rooms within a group. These fees apply regardless of whether a final rooming list has been provided. It is the booking agency’s responsibility to ensure all cancellations are submitted within these timeframes.

Klettasel Villa & Special Charges For Klettasel Villa, a full refund is available for cancellations made 4 weeks or more in advance; no refunds are provided for cancellations made within 4 weeks of arrival.

Dinner Cancellations: Regarding dining, any dinner reservations cancelled 0–3 days before the scheduled date will be charged in full.
